Want to do more preserving?! At the time of posti Want to do more preserving?!

At the time of posting, my freezing book is available for a STEAL over on 🅰️mazOn at $ I3!! (This is crazy!!)

Freeze Fresh Meal Prep isn’t your typical “freezer meals” book. The focus of these recipes is on freezing in-season fruits and vegetables, with an eye to having prepared or partially prepared dishes for later. It’s right at the intersection of where preserving meets convenience food!

Being able to grab something homemade from the freezer and turn it into a quick and tasty dinner feels like having a treasure chest full of gold.

Here's what's inside!

🥧✨ Happy pie season to all who celebrate! Did you 🥧✨ Happy pie season to all who celebrate! Did you know I’m the 10-year reigning Apple Pie Champion of our small town?! Well... the truth is that they held an apple pie contest ten years ago, I won, and they haven’t had one since. I’d say that makes me current champion, no? 😂

There were dozens of entries and I beat out grannies and Amish women, so I’m still holding onto that title proudly!!

Here are all my best apple pie making tips:

CRUST
Homemade, obviously. All-butter. Laminated.
I use a laminating technique (folding the dough over and over) so it comes out supremely flaky. It's sturdy but shatters wonderfully in your mouth.

APPLES
Lightly sweetened. Perfectly spiced. Precooked.
I pre-cook the filling so that I end up with a nice full pie that doesn't shrink. And I use multiple varieties of apples to ensure a rich and well-rounded apple flavor. Good quality cinnamon + apple pie spices are a must!

NOTHING EXTRA
I’m a bit of an apple pie purist; I don’t want sour cream or pecans or raisins in the filling, no other fruit mixed in, and nothing weird like cheese in the crust. Just a classic, old fashioned apple pie. Okay, I *will* allow a drizzle of homemade salted caramel sauce on top and a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side. 😜

How about you?!
